Get yourself a 5 lb bag of charcoal. Yes the kind you use for BBQ. Split open the bag and set it in the suitcase. Close the suitcase and leave it set for a week. Do Not pick it up and carry it anywhere because you will spill the charcoal all over inside. The charcoal will absorb the offensive odor and will make the suitcase usable again. You can then use the charcoal in the BBQ. Good Luck.

If you had a water spill in your case, you may have mold. In that circumstance, you should buy a new case, as that constitutes a health problem for you if you wear whatever you place inside. If not, sprinkle a little baking soda inside and air the case outside on a sunny day. Then, place a few cinnamon sticks or cedar chips inside for a few days- the airing out is key. Good luck.

Set the suitcase outside so it can air out all day. You could also spray it with Febreeze. They make it to spray it on fabrics also. Lysol spray in the white can works well also, just make sure you spray it generously.

Try placing kitty litter in it or baking soda. Both should remove the smell eventually.
