Not so sure you will ever get the closure your wanting, but time makes it more bearable. I feel the same as you right now about another relationship, but you will someday find someone who can love you the way you want. What has to be hard for you is seeing her each time you pick the child up, that in itself can't be easy, Divorce can be like losing someone to death, done both, and I would have to say that divorce comes close because this person rejected you and gave up on the relationship, with death they didn't choose this. Take it one day at a time.

Sounds like you're still going through a lot of emotional struggle, which is understanding since you can't run away from the fact that your marriage is over since you have a child and still have to see her on a regular basis. I would recommend starting to see a counselor about this. Most people really hate the idea of psychotherapy, but if you are still feeling shell shocked as you say, this may be too large of a struggle for you to overcome on your own. Talking with a therapist might help you sort out your feelings and begin to heal. You sound like a descent guy, you might just need to convince yourself that you are someone worthy of being loved and giving love.

Where you the cause of the failed marriage? If so then it is guilt you live with (and what you deserve). If not, you may need to lay on the couch and talk it out so you can find a way to move on. I have a sense of humor too, but I'm being serious right now. There's a whole world out there. GO GET IT!!!
