Congratulations hon, you're having a baby, and soon! Go to the hospital. Any leaking fluid means there's a chance your water sack has ruptured. It doesn't have to gush. My second pregnancy I felt something trickle a little bit down my leg and was totally second guessing myself because I didn't think it was enough to say my water had actually broken. I went to the hospital against all my better judgement, fully expecting them to say my water was still fully intact and to go home. I delivered my son 2 1/2 hours after getting to the hospital. Thank goodness for that tiny trickle! I wouldn't have gotten there soon enough if I'd waited for painful contractions because they just never got very bad, or very regular, even after I'd been at the hospital awhile. I would have had my baby at home. So go to the hospital and they can check you out. Even if your water hasn't broken, you may be dilated enough for them to keep you. I was at 4 cm when I got there so they didn't even bother to check if it was really my water sack, they kept me anyway.
Congratulations, sounds like that baby's coming soon!

Okay, do not have sex again until you do this...
Put on a sanitary pad and lay down for half an hour...left side is best...when you stand up check to see if the pad has become wet...they say that amniotic fluid has a distinct smell.. it does not smell like urine, but it DOES have a straw like color (slightly yellow). When you lay down the baby's head does not act like a stopper to keep the fluid from flowing out, so the fluid pools in the vagina until you stand up.
If I were you, I would see the doctor either way. Having sex after your water has broken is not a good thing, you have introduced bacteria now...it is nothing that cannot be treated, but if your water has broken, the baby needs to come out within 24 hours. Go to the doctor. GOODLUCK!

It definitely sounds like your fluid is leaking. Don't panic, because it can be days before the baby comes out even after this;on the other hand, be prepared because head engagement at the doc's appointment is not a reliable indicator: I went for an appointment where my son's head was barely engaged and I was not dialated at all, and just over 24 hours later he was in my arms! Soooo call the doctor.

I would call your drs office or labor and delivery right away. I am 38 weeks and was told that if my water broke--in a gush or a small trickle--to go get checked out. Your water could have broke high up and it is only leaking when the babys head lets it. You should be checked because if your water did break then you will need to be monitored because of the chance of infection.

The goo definitely sounds like your mucous plug, the liquid could have been amniotic fluid but if it didn't continue I was probably a little urine. If you leak again, or contractions start, go in. Otherwise you can wait until Monday and call the doc but NO MORE SEX!!! If you have a leak, it can lead to infection. If you haven't packed your bag, you may want to get right on that.

If it was your waters they would continue to leak. Try putting a pad on and measuring any loss, clear and no smell - amniotic waters, yellow and acidy - urine! If you do think its your waters though, you need to go to hospital as there is now a risk of infection to the baby, so no baths or sex! You will be monitored closely, but if contractions dont start they will usually induce you after 24 hours.

How much fluid trickled out? A teaspoon? A cup? Did it have an odor? [ urine, or something else? ]
Are you still leaking? Wearing a pad?
Normally, once your water breaks, it keeps on coming til you deliver. If in doubt, wipe it up, and check for a urine smell.
If it doesn't smell, put a pad on and call the doctor and NO SEX until the doc/midwife checks you!
You don't have to have pains for the water to break.
Many, many of us 'pee ourselves' at the end because of that big old head sitting on our itty bitty bladder - we just don't always talk about it.

If your not leaking anymore then your water didn't break. Once your water breaks it won't stop leaking. When it breaks its more than a trickle also. Chances are it was your mucous plug. Its kinda like a glob of snot. I don't think its anything to worry about at all, I'd just ask at your next visit.

Call your doctor and try to get in tomorrow or as soon as possible. That definitely sounds like you are "leaking" your amniotic fluid. It's very important to inform your doctor of this. Sometimes your waters break before you go into labor and that can cause problems. This happened to me and I ended up being induced. Clear liquid that's gooey is almost always amniotic fluid.
Good luck.

If you are leaking fluid and it is not urine, you should definitely call the L&D floor of the hospital you will be delivering at. You should not ignore it. Stay safe and ask a professional.
Good Luck!
