Yes. I hate it. Wants me to make drown myself. I don't follow the pack of sardines..More like a molusk in hiding..

Always thought that this phrase came from the very shallow places and needs some air.

Still believe in Darwin and evolution but ..I think I have come out of the sea a long time ago.

Yes..seriously..it is very irritating for some,,and maybe not for others.Suppose it is a different kind of mentality and we are all different.

So many times I have read and heard " the best way to forget someone is to hook up with someone else". I would not know because it never applied to me....maybe others..good luck for them after all !

Emotionally I think we CAN hook up with different people..but how many on a profund level ?

I can see the reverse side mind you...maybe my earlier influences of having to weigh the pro and cons of everything.

I can see when some people build a block of concrete around themselves and not allowing what other "goodies" (crude I know) might be available, Call it obsession..

The very sad parts I see around me is when people convince hemselves that they have found "the perfec one" only to be cruelly disappointecd.

It is extremely hurtful. When you are parted (however it happens) from someone you had loved and had invested in emotionally, it is a form of bereavement and a grieving process has to take place (the hurt, anger, guilt and so on).
Just as in a conventional bereavement situation, friends and family often feel awkward and don't know what to say to comfort you but, make no mistake, they do want you to be comforted. Try not to be too offended, they mean well.

Yeah...scuse me, I'm curled up in a little mental ball here with my confidence shredded and my mind kicked to mush and I don't know if I can bother to breathe another minute and even if I do it'll just remind me I've just blown the thing that could have made my life complete and filled me with happiness forever, just maybe, but sure, now you mention it, I'll go freakin' fishin' - that'll help!

But Sharkey this is so true - why hold out for that one person who does not want you - there are so many other lady's out there who would want to -so in effect its true - plenty more fish in the sea. hurts like hell with the rejection - but would you rather they say tough shite. get over it. hmmmm

People just shouldn't say anything at all and allow you to feel miserable for a while. That's the only thing that really helps, just being there to listen to them.

only if they couple that phrase with "its better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all" People need to cry / vent whatever after a break up , not hear stuff like that
