Because apparently gruntled isn't a word. I have looked in every reliable dictionary that I can find & it doesn't exist. BTW, many of them have "disgruntled" as a slang term & a few as an adjective. "Disgruntle" can be found in all of them as a transitive verb. The joys of a living language... :) Here's the etymology (word origin) - ETYMOLOGY: dis– + gruntle, to grumble (from Middle English gruntelen, frequentative of grunten, to grunt; see grunt).

Because "content" sounds better.
I wouldn't want to be called "gruntled"... but that's a personal opinion... lol

because the gruntled ones are too busy getting in on and slopping things up in the sty.....It's when they realize that they are begin treat like pigs do they get dissed.
