I've seen the question over and over again, and the answers are always the same: take a test or see a doctor. Problem is that I've taken two tests, both negative, and I have NO TIME to see a doctor. I'm 2 1/2 weeks late. I have no other symptoms really. Could the stress from working 60 hrs/week really cause my period to be this late? I know stress plays a factor in the cycle, but I've always thought it could make it late only by a few days. I plan on a third test tonight. What I am really trying to ask is if anyone else has had the same experiences. No sore boobs, no morning sickness, just a missed period and lots of work related stress. Again, I can't see a doctor, I'm just curious on what the outcome of everyone else's experiences were. Thanks!

YOUR EITHER LATE DUE TO STRESS, OR YOU JUST NEED TO MAKE TIME TO SEE THE DOCTOR.

If I were you I would definately make time to go to the doctor you will understnad when you read my story. I found out with me first pregnancy that I was 5 months pregnant and with my second that I was 3 months pregnant. I hadn't had periods for 5 years and was use to it. Then I started to get really tired and I thought it was just from working 50+hrs. Then I decided to take a test and it was positive right away. So with my second I wasn't sure but I didn't want to find out late again so I took two home test and they were both negative. I waited a little no longer and I still had this funny feeling so I went to the doctor and found out I was 3 months along again even though the tests were negative. Hope this helps

If you tested negative by two tests then you probably are not pregnant. Once I missed an entire period... skipped a whole month, but hadn't had sex since my last so I knew I was not pregnant. My point is, it happens. Stress can cause irregularity and missed periods. Take another home test... just for piece of mind but if you continue to be irregular... then see a doctor because something else could be wrong. STD's can also cause irregularity. KJ

you could be pregnant but if your only a few weeks late it might not show up on a test yet. most tests will not tell you if you are pregnant til you are about 4 wks, i would try a first response that is how i found out i was pregnant at 3 wks. but i also wouldnt take it at night try in the morning your first pee would be the best. good luck and i hope this helps you. oh and you wont have sore boobs yet, not until about 5 or 6 wks.

God Bless
Brandie

If you are very early on in your pregnancy, and your HCG levels have not risen much, a pregnancy test might not detect pregnancy. I had no symptoms with any of my pregnancies, aside from just knowing that I was pregnancy. Stress can definitely play havoc with your period. If you can't get to a doctor for a blood test, wait a few weeks and then do another urine test. Good Luck!

yeah, stress can make you very late. i've been about a month late before due to severe stress.

BUT, you should take a test in another week or so if you still havent' had your period. you may be testing too early, even though you're late. i know a few women who haven't been able to detect the hcg horemone till they were around 2 months pregnant.

good luck! :0)

Sound like you are late because of stress. I am 13 weeks pregnant and believe me you would already have symptoms of being pregnant if you were pregnant. My breast was sore after the first week of missing my period not to mention the bloating feeling and the sickness that follows. Good luck

yes. stress has caused me to not have a period for up to three months in the past. If yous skip two periods, go see your gyno to have a check up to make sure there are not any serious problems. Most likley it is just stress, but she can give you something to coax your period into returning. I had to take it for another two months before things returned to normal. Strss is more powerful than you think. I honestly diddnt even think I was thst stressed out whan that happened to me!

Something like that has happened to me before. I missed an entire MONTH. Tests were negative but I honsestly would say that stress would cause you to miss a period. ( As you guessed I ended up NOT being pregnant)

OMG - have any of you ever stopped to judge the likliehood that a number of those those who can't spell pregnant or use impressive punctuation might want to be residing in sexually abusive situations and considering that of this they concern being pregnant. they can't "merely bypass to the docs" or "merely examine with someone". the position I volunteer with did a lengthy study into the help that toddlers in those subject search for and yahoo solutions got here out as proper! Please imagine beforehand you're really so severe - each from time to time human beings, specially susceptible toddlers are on the sting and one unwarranted criticism can convey about some fairly unfavourable outcomes.

I haven't but a friend of mine has. She was pregnant but the test did not show for several weeks and she had no symptoms.
It still could be the stress, though.
good luck
