Ok I have heard this from several men...that men drive better than women? if this was so why would a 21yr old man having the exact same car as a 21 yr old female will actualy have the higher cost of insurance.

I've heard all the jokes about women drivers...thing is though, when some joker is tailgating me and I'm doing the speed limit, most of the time it's a guy.

men (on average) drive faster and more aggressively than women. So they crack up slightly more. But as I've mentioned before, the paucity of females racing cars professionally make me doubt that they are inherently better drivers.
I drive well over the speed limit and always have (like to run between 85-90 (at least) on the interstates. Even with all the state of the art radar crap I've got, I've stilll gotten piles of tickets, but I've only had one wreck that was my fault (a pissy scrape in a parking lot that I settled with 50 bucks. The guy driving the banged-up pile of junk I bumped was happy to take it.
Suits me to drive this way. I hate long, boring trips, and for me, shaving a couple hours off of all of them is worth the occasional expense of a ticket. Plus it's fun to haul ***.
But still, I pay through the nose for insurance (because of all the tickets) even though I've never made an insurance claim. That seems like h*orseshit to me. But you can't convince the bean counters it is.

That's because of discrimination, no other reason, that being said I think there are an awful lot of people that shouldn't be driving, if you seen the number of morons I see behind the wheel everyday it would astound you. They can't even do a simple maneuver to change lanes without breaking first, or merge onto a highway without coming to a complete stop, that defeats the purpose of the on ramp, and the whole concept of merge, not to mention the jerks that think a stop sign just means slow down or the bimbo that tries to put make up on while going 70mph, I regress, anyway they are all bad drivers.

I drove a semi for 18 years. Millions of miles.
I saw all kinds of drivers and have reached the conclusion that sex has no bearing on ability; neither men nor women, overall can drive worth a tinker's ****.
My estimate is that the absolute worst drivers, male or female are the ones driving more expensive cars or are the more "fashionable" drivers (yuppies and soccer moms).
I estimate that one out of every 15 drivers is capable and alert, maybe less and it comes from both sexes. Most people just aim.

Heres the difference. Women have more accidents then men 3 to 1. But the reason men have higher insurance rates is that men are more likely to be killed in a automobile accident 2 to 1. This is because men are more likely to do something stupid. Women fenders and men in the grave.

Statistically, men generally have better eye-hand coordination and do better on spatial relationship questions on tests.
Men between 16 and 25 y/o have higher insurance rates because they have the highest accident rates. They have historically been more aggressive in their driving and tend to "show off" to girls/women and also other males.
Men used to tend to drink more alcohol than women but I don't know if this is stiil the case.

The cost of insurance has nothing to do with who is a safer driver.
It's all about claims. The ammount of claims by males is approximately equal to the ammount of claims by females.
But get this. This is the important point. A male is far more likely to get a much larger payout.
It is for this reason, and this reason alone, that a man's insurance is more expensive than a female's.

Men drive a lot more than women do which is one reason they have higher insurance.
When I see a woman driver beat the top NASCAR driver I'll say women can drive better.

Actually, almost all drivers think they are above average. Both male and female. But women only get into less accidents because they drive less.

I have an absolutely perfect record. I've been hit once and guess what! It was a girl who ran into me.
Perhaps enough the terrible women drivers are good looking enough to convince the guys they crash into to not report it?
And the whole insurance BS is a total scam and sexist bullcrap.

Men actually are better drivers... (in general ) because of the way our brains are wired. We have faster and better eye-hand coordination than women and better depth perception. Again.. I said in general. But don't get mad ladies... women have better hearing, a better sense of smell and a stronger immune system.. in general.
