I just gave birth a week ago and is now brstfeeding, is it normal to have milk coming out from the areola as well (other than the nipples) Thanks

Yes, that is normal. The whole darkened area (and sometimes just outside it) has mammary tissue behind it and can leak. Some bumps that are underdeveloped mammary glands can develop called Montgomery tubercules and they can leak a little sometimes too. If you are concerned or it drives you nuts, talk to the lactation consultant at the hospital or your doctor.

well im also breast feeding and i think what your describing can be cracked nipples and sometimes it comes not directly from the nipple so just make sure u put some lanolin that the brand lansinoh makes i hope it helps

Yes. I've breast fed 3 and it's happened to me all 3 times.
