just wondering.
my baby's head has been down since i was 29 weeks and i'm 34weeks now.

Down and in are two different things. The baby's head won't enter the birth canal until labor is well under way, the head is just sitting on top of it. Hopefully you have at least two more weeks. You will start pushing when the baby's head enters the birth canal and won't stop until the baby makes it out.

Not sure I understand your question but lightening or engagement (when the baby positions itself to for labor usually happens in the last few weeks before labor or sometimes in labor. As far as actually making the trip down the canal goes, that won't be until you go into labor.

i think you mean how long does it take to engage in your pelvis?
this usually happens around 37 weeks with your first but not until right near labor with your second.
I'm 36 weeks and my baby's head is nearly fully engaged but not quite there yet.
so you probably have a few weeks yet but you know when it happens because you feel pressure down there, it hurts to walk and you need to wee a lot more you can also breath better. hope this helps good luck
