It's most commonly called a "bunny flop". All it means is I'm very relaxed, and comfortable in my surroundings.

It is a type of sleep, called active sleep.

They can hear everything around them, it is the best time to talk to them and read or sing. This is the subconscious state.

You should see the snakes that do that. A lof of animals do that so that predators think they are dead and won't eat them.
