Hi, I like the convenience an electric kettle a lot, but my heating coil is badly corroded after one year of use. It looks rusty and the chrome has peeled. Do all electric kettles corrode? Can anyone recommends one that don't? Thanks.

yes most do because they are made of aluminum or a pot metal.
after using it wash it and then spread a thin layer of lard on it to keep it in good shape.

basically all electric kettles corrode. the electric draws all the in-purities to the coil. If you can fine a stainless steel coil this will help for a time, but that to will corrode in time.

Look inside! You will be pitching it in the garbage! Kettles corrode inside and out.
