the world is a big place & those creeps send out on a world-wide stretch. as p.t.barnum once famously said,' there's a sucker born every minute'. while most of us are wise to their tricks, many are not. you'd think...! there is a corner in the outer regions of nyc where everyday, rain or shine, a man walks from car to car selling roses, in bunches, wrapped in cheap plastic. his price for a bunch isn't too much but not cheap, either. i've never seen anyone ever buy but day after day he's still there, selling (or appears to be attempting to see) his roses. i mentioned this to my husband, my observations, thoughts about this, et cetera, and i have never forgotten his answer. he said, and i quote, "look! do you think if he didn't sell he'd still be there, day after day, rain or shine? just because you don't see anyone buy doesn't mean they don't!" the roses do look fresh and he doesn't appear to be desperate. ok so what has this got to do with those rip-offs in nigeria? if they weren't successful on a semi-daily basis, they'd move on, fold up camp or try some other tactic. moral of the story, if there is one? even after all these years, barnum is still right: there are still suckers born EVERY minute.

sure, human beings really fall for this scam. The economic Crimes branch of the secret provider receives about one hundred telephone calls from victims/ skill victims and three hundred-500 products of appropriate correspondence per day about this scam!

Scam?
I'm expecting a $50,000,000,000.00 deposit into my savings account any day now. Apparently there is some wealthy oil magnate who has no other way to get his money into the US and lucky for me he stumbled upon my fax #.
I'll be raking in the $$$ from interest!

Hopefully by now, no one. I still get the emails, and I still enjoy messing with the scammers though.
