If so, just think of how many others before you have touched that bombay mix with their dirty hands having not washed them after having a wee or, worse, a poo, or after having picked their noses and so on.

Still fancy eating from that bombay mix bowl?

The same goes for those free samples of cheese on the delicatessen counter in a supermarket...

Of couse everyone who prepares all your other food has scrubbed their hands to surgical levels of cleanliness? I think not. Not the most hygenic thing to eat but you don't actually know it's any worse than most other food you eat out. If you don't prepare it yourself you have very little idea where it's been stored or how it's been handled. Also if you go to a swimming pool you'll have swallowed a lot worse in larger quantities.

No and i never touch those peanuts etc they put out on the bar in pubs.All those mucky hands in the bowl from people just been to the toilet.

There is a reason that pubs are barred from putting peanuts on their bar- an environmental health officer told me that they tested a sample of "bar peanuts" and found many different traces of urine on them, from ppl using the toilet and not washing their hands.....peanut anyone?

Exactly, also keep away from nibbles on the bar also nuts and crisps on a buffet!

i am with all of those who say ick.
Another rule of thumb,never eat at ANY restaurant whose restrooms DO NOT have 2-ply toilet paper.
