'bout what? You nah gi we nuff info. But in all seriousness, why are you marrying him? This is the ultimate question you need to ask. Marrying an american if you love him can work. It does not matter whether the man is American, Jamaican, Cuban, Martian, they all become complacent especially with a Jamaican woman sometimes. This is because in the old days, jamaican women were raised to cater to a man's wishes, something that for some of us has not changed even with the move to the States.
But some of them will worship the ground you walk on. You need to really know the personality of the person you are marrying. The mere fact that you are asking this question says to me you DON'T really know this person and it is not a good thing to enter into a marriage without that information under your belt.

The Defense of Marriage Act is a United States federal law signed into law by President Bill Clinton on September 21, 1996 whereby the federal government defines marriage as a legal union between one man and one woman. Under the law, also known as DOMA, no state (or other political subdivision within the United States) may be required to recognize as a marriage a same-sex relationship considered a marriage in another state. The law passed both houses of Congress by large majorities

Well I am not trying to call American men nasty and rude because they aren't all like that. just know what you want from him and make sure he can provide before you actually go ahead with the next move. My experience from dating them is that they get very comfortable after a while and that is not good. Plus I'm engaged to a Jamaican and it is the best thing, I love him to death and I'm Guyanese.

(1) Don't marry Terry McMillan

(2) Call the U.S. Embassy in Kingston to see what you will need to enter the country. If you have health issues or a criminal record this might casue problems.

Good luck!
