I suppose that a Gay person could be co-dependent, but that does not mean all Gay people are co-dependent, because anyone can be codependent.
Codependency is a type of relationship addiction, often between an addicted person (alcoholic,drug addict, sex addict, etc) and a non-addicted person. The non-addicted person is "addicted" to keeping the addict happy,sane, on an even keel,etc.

co-dependency is about addiction and self destructive behaviors, but not about gay rights.

Sometimes co-habitation is about gay rights.

co-dependency is when someone allows the behaviors or even encourages it in subtle ways, because they're getting something out of it too.
