The last 3 jobs i had, i left because of the bosses. But, didn't leave until i was hunted by the next boss and offered a job. My last boss was an ***. I didn't go to work for any one else. I went and opened my own company and became all 3's competition. And guess what a lot of the clients i had followed me to the last 2 places and then followed me to where I am now. So I would have to say a majority of the people quit because of the BOSS.
One thing that I think a boss should do is hand out evaluations to be done on him/her. He as a boss evaluates the employee. He needs to know how well or not well he is doing too.
I do one with my employees. It covers my supervising and what improvements can be made for the company. I haven't had anyone quit so far.

Well, my previous job I quit because I hated my boss. My job was fun. Now my job is fun, but sometimes boring...while I like my boss. She's a lot nicer, at least I think so.

That is very true, some bosses make it a very miserable experience for everyone involved. But unfortunatly we have to work t survive so sometimes we have to just bite our lip and take it. I know over the years I had a lot of bosses that I wanted to take in the parking lot and show them how I felt. But thats life.

Uh, I just didn't like my last job. The final straw came when I was out on injury, and my boss kept pushing me to work. I even got phone calls at home to come in, even after the Union said I could have the week off for my back injury.

I love both but I strongly believe that people quit their jobs because of the "supposed" bad bosses.
But my question is what a "bad boss" is for these people.
Considering that we have to follow rules and everything else, our bosses are "authorities" over us... Do people know how to obey and how to follow the rules nowadays?

I totally agree. I was working part time as a school nurse at a private school. Loved the kids, teachers parents hated the director. She was vicious (had devil horns).
I couldn't take her and just left. It wasn't the job!
Now I am my own boss. So when things are great or slow I can blame myself.
I like it a lot. :O)

Definitely the boss. I have some really good people here, that is probably why I have stayed so long. Without them I would be somewhere else.
