"what do you not understand about NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION"

ask these folks:

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..." - Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."
- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do" Rep. - Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members .. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." - Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction." - Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

"Americans need to really understand the gravity and legitimacy of what is happening with Saddam Hussein. He has been given every opportunity in the world to comply. The president does not control the schedule of UNSCOM. The president did not withdraw the UNSCOM inspectors. And the president did not, obviously, cut a deal with Saddam Hussein to do this at this moment. Saddam Hussein has not complied. Saddam Hussein is pursuing a program to build weapons of mass destruction." (Sen. John Kerry, Press Conference, 12/16/98)

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." - Sen. To those libs who think the last election was lost by the cons because of Iraq I have a news flash for you. It was not the war. It was that the American people wanted someone in office to do things this country needs like energy, jobs, health care. They thought if the Dem's were running things then we would get somethings done. So much for pipe dreams. So far the Dem's are doing the very same thing that the repubs did during BILLS last2 years. NOTHING but hearing after hearing. hearings that lead to nowhere. Who cares that GW fired federal lawyers. Bill did the same. So the lawyers were doing investigations. Those that were part of Bills firing were investigating HIM. Lets wait until the election. If the DEM'S don't get off the ball & do some real work , they will be out & looking in again.

In 1947 my doctor told my mom, "She weights 7lbs 6oz.
Its 60 years later and things change. Boy did they ever!
So it is that what was said years ago isn't true any longer.
Keep up with the times is what I want my government to do. And the times have changed in Iraq too. There weren't terrorists in Iraq, there was a dictator, a nasty one. Now hes dead, and they have elections, and they have internal strife, a civil sectarian war, in other words what they had before the British stepped in and made them one country.
We won, all Republicans can be happy, we never signed on to straighten out a combative history dating back to 400AD.
Overlooked in all this name calling is that we can't surrender, there is no one to surrender to, that alone tells you two things.
We won.
Iraq lost.
Lets get out.
Edit Will you please get the story straight, Bill fired his previous presidents politically appointed federal attorneys when he went into office. He took over from a Republican administration, wanting to have his own people in there makes sense, is legal and expected. Thats what they do, no complaint there. George has fired his OWN appointments
these were men and women George put in. Thats why the fuss, why were they fired? If it was because he wished to interfere in what they were prosecuting due to political influence, thats a problem. That is a position that is political in its appointments, and its supposed to be fair once they have them. Justice doens't wear a political button. I hope

America isn't fooled by the semantics of the failed Bush adminstration. That's why Republicans got crushed in the last election.

The Republicans must enjoy a good whooping because they're certainly headed for it in the next election as well.

most of America wants a timetable for with drawl, the Iraqis want the same thing. the only 2 I know of that oppose it are GWB and al-Maliki.GWB doesn't want one because he's a putz, al-Maliki doesn't want one because our presence in Iraq is the only reason he's still Prime Minister. Both men same reason: personal agenda.

Semantics, not somantics.

And it is a withdrawal. Saying "the terrorists will win" after every statement you make is called RHETORIC, and if you say it often enough, it loses its impact.

Have you read about the boy who cried wolf?
