TALK TO SOMEONE PLEASE!!!! First and foremost darling you need to figure out why you are stressed. This is the only way to overcome those depressing feelings. If you can't talk to your mom, talk to a teacher or better yet your counselor at school. Please do that first!!! Yes, stress will prevent your menstrual cycle. It doesn't matter if you have never had one or not. Your body is a wreck right now because of the stress. Work on the stress and the rest will come. I was very stressed out about work for 3 months and I missed my period for 2 months so I know stress delays it. Good luck to you sweetie. If you need to talk to me you can e-mail me at cosmo_gurl_98@yahoo.com.

Stress can definitely make your body do weird things, including screwing up your period. Same for exercising too much, eating too little or not the right foods, and not sleeping enough. Acting mature/immature has nothing to do with your period or your body's development. If that were true, I think a ton of women would never get their periods!! I hope this helps!

Yes stress can prevent your period. It makes you miss it too if the stress is really bad...and in your case it sounds as if you need the help of a therapist and a psychiatrist more than anything right now.

No, not at all. I tend to be more stressed around my periods. My stress really does not prevent my cycle. You probably just are a late bloomer, talk to your doctor if you don't get it by 17.

Well not everyone gets their period early. I didn't get mine 'till was 15. You maybe Anemic, check with your doctor. I also get depressed @ times, the best thing to do is to keep yourself busy & happy.

Stress can cause major medical problems. You are young enough that if they have started they are not necessarily going to be regular.

Prayer, meditation, yoga, there are many ways to destress.
Play sports. Run, take walks, bike anything to burn energy.
Then you are to tired to be stressed.

YES! Stress can either make your period come very late or very early.

absolutely it can be a reason! stop taking life so seriously and taking matters to heart. people will destroy you when they know when you are weak. find something that makes you happy and where you can release anger, stress, and pain. try kickboxing, pottery, anything that you can use your mind and strength! because youre only 14 youve got your whole life ahead of you. life is a gift a precious one that shouldnt be wasted!
