Hot tubs and hot baths (above 100 degrees F) can cause your body temperature to rise, and this can cause problems for a developing baby, particularly in the first trimester.
There is a very slight risk of radiation when flying but on commercial airlines it is negligent.

The only thing that helped with my back pain while I was pregnant was taking a bath. The baby can't drown from you taking a bath, they are already surrounded by fluid, hence "my water broke". As for airplanes if your in your 3rd trimester you should talk to your doctor before going on a plane, I think the biggest concern there is you going into labor mid flight.
But go ahead and take a nice warm bath, little bath salts and scented candles. Take advantage of the quiet time while you still have it.

NO. You can take a bath safely. And you can fly in a plane, too. They don't like you to fly in the last trimester, though.....something about the air pressure bringing on early labor. But neither of those things will harm your baby.

Pregnant women can, and must, bathe and observe basic hygiene. Could you imagine the stinking mess that would result from someone not bathing for nine months? However, there are right and wrong ways to do anything, so for the best results, simply ask your doctor or midwife, if you have any lingering concerns.

I don't know but I heard that if you are trying to conceive, you shouldn't take very hot baths or get in hot tubs. I think the rationale given at the time was that the heat could cause your body to treat the fetus as an infection. (This would be in the first few days or weeks of pregnancy.)

I hope someone knowledgeable can answer this! :)

no. Soaking in an extremely hot bath is not good for the baby during the final trimester due to the fact that it will raise your body temperature, and in turn theirs.

flying is fine, except, again, during the final trimester, but can still be done with doctor's permission

Absolutely not. Although sometimes pregnant women are not permitted to fly after 36th week because it can be unsafe. Women that are having a complicated pregnancy should always consult with their doctors.
