Sounds like you may have a virus, trojan or worm. Reboot in safe mode and run your virus scan. Some other free programs that get more malicious stuff are stinger and spybot. BOth are good ones to try.

Assuming you don't have a virus, open up internet explorer, go to tools, internet options, connections, Never dial a connection should be selected.

That doesn't work, go to start, run, type in "msconfig", click ok. On the top right, click startup, then click disable all. If you choose not to disable all, use this website http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php Scroll back until you see your antivirus software, check that. Click apply, click close. Restart your computer.

If Internet Explorer pops up, there is an application that is trying to open it. I don't want to scare you but you might have some malicious software in your computer. Don't panic. Go to www.download.com and download Spyware doctor. That will help you get rid of the problem.

Good luck.

Get rid of Internet Explorer and download "Firefox". It's much better & you don't get thrown out like on IE.

Just go to "getfirefox.com"

go here:

run the online program to check your computer for "malware". do what it says. then start using "firefox". it is not integrated with windows so anytime somebody exploits your browser it is not harming your computer.
