Has G.W. Bushleague ever tried to stregthen diplomatic relations with ANY country in his nearly 7 years in office?

The only time that man leaves the White House is to go vacation some more down in Crawford. (he now officially is the most vacationing President in history and I'm not making that up)

On his watch Iran and N. Korea have developed nuclear programs and have tested intermediate range missles that can be outfitted with nuclear warheads.

Russia is just about to go back to Communism. Putin feels threatened by the proposed missle defense system in Europe, so now they will develop counter measures. In case you weren't paying attention in the 80's, we're headed back into a Cold War.

Republicans wanna play scare tactics, but how about the very real threat generated by countries with real capabilities? He's put all of us in danger by spreading our military too thin.

We're busy playing cowbow in Iraq and have been depleted to the point where we are exposed. Yay.

Yes, they've heard the word. Unfortunately, it has too many letters in it for them to be able to understand what it means.

I'm sure they've heard the word many times. They probably don't define it the same way, tough.

To a neo-con, 'diplomacy' is a political strategy that has consistently failed unless backed up by massive military power, so why bother with it: cut to the chase and flex that military muscle.

To a lib, 'diplomacy' is the first resort to solving conflicts among nations, since war or even the threat of war is always counterproductive. Diplomacy can always be backed up with economic sanctions, and well, more diplomacy to bring international 'pressure' to bear on the other party.

The opposite was true of the previous administration. They got a long with so many nations so well. All it took was a visit to the White House, a photo op, and they'd pick up the check of American Tax Payer funds. The buy off from the left was unprecedented in our history. Bush is hated because he does not give out the bread. The sooner people realize we can't buy respect the better off they'd be.

I thought he was using diplomacy with Iran and N. Korea and he was having basically every country in the world involved in those discussions. So he is doing what you asked.

There's a big difference in diplomacy and giving up and sticking your butt in the air for any Muslims to come along and hump you in the butt like most of you lieberals want to do. If you don't like it move to where your butt will do you good!

That's not true and you'd know it ..if your intention wasn't just to incite sedition and rebellion . Whenever President Bush meets with foreign dignitaries in other countries , your fellow liberal democrats ridicule that as well . You can't have it both ways - so apparently it's business as usual : fabricate .

No. The bush administration does not recognize diplomacy.

Just wait until Hillary makes ol' Bill the US Ambassador.....the dude knows how to schmooze! He has diplomacy and tact down to an art form.

This is exactly what I have been saying. They took way to long to try any type of diplomacy and made the military shoulder the entire load of this war.
