They used to. The Cleveland Barons were a team from 1976 to 1978. They, however, no longer exist and Cleveland does not have any other teams.

It would be nice to see an expansion team in cleveland! There is some really really good hockey in that town. They always have the best high school teams

Not since 1978.
What's left of them (if anything, certainly not any players at this point) would actually be in Dallas. Cleveland merged with the then Minnesota North Stars in 1978, who later became the Dallas Stars.

HAHA no that is Columbus. Cleveland couldn't even hold on to the Lumberjacks, how do you think they could EVER land an NHL team.

No. But they will be having a AHL team next season. The Lake Erie Monsters. I believe that they will be located in Cleveland.

No. There is no NHL team in Ohio. Columbus has the Bluejackets but are they really an NHL team yet?
