I am a single mother with three kids and I want a divorce. In order for me to do this I need to locate him and the union is one way that I could get some info.

Get a lawyer. Thats what they get paid to do. If you're a single mother why the divorce anyway? Or are you married but seperated with three kids?

Call the union office yourself. You could say that you need to verify his current employment status for a legal proceeding.
DO NOT lie and pretend to be a lawyer, but don't blab all your or his personal business to some secretary. "Mr. Smith is a party to a legal proceeding, and we are trying to determine his current employment status." She will probably volunteer where he is working, while she tells you whether or not he's actually working. Let her volunteer it all.
They probably can't provide his home address, which is a better place to serve papers, anyway.

A single mother seeking a divorce. Isn't that like an oxymoron.
Anyway, I suspect that the union will be unable to assist you. Their loyalty is to him as a member, not you as his ??????

Are you kidding that's his union . unions are one for all and all for one . you can try but i don't think there going to give you any info unless court ordered

Not if he is a Teamster. If he is a union member then he is employed. Start with the last known employer, you might have some luck there.

you can always go and ask, if they can't give you the info for privacy reasons then there is nothing you can do but you can't be jailed for asking........
