If you go to wikipedia.com and search santana, click on the one that goes with Carlos Santana, scroll down and you can find links to all the albums, click on an album and it will list all the songs. I did and got this list from an album released in 1990. Hope this helps!! If none of these are it just go to wikipedia and see if you can find it.
"Let There Be Light"
"Gypsy Woman"
"It's a Jungle out There"
"Soweto (Africa libre)"
"Choose"
"Peace on Earth...Mother Earth...Third Stone from the Sun"
"Full Moon"
"Who's that Lady"
"Jin-go-lo-ba"
"Goodness and Mercy"

Oh baby your a hot one, like seven inches from the noonday sun, you got the words that melt everyone, but you stay so cool.
I think that's the one you are thinking of.
Need more clues.

I think you may be thinking of "Maria Maria" from the CD "Supernatural" - AWESOME track.
But it's not Michael McDonald - its The Product G&B and was co- produced by Wyclef Jean
