Chill out : ) I have been shaving myself bare down there since I was a young one. The itching will go away if you keep shaving everyday. If you let your hair grow out you will be scratching yourself constantly. Trust me - if you like the look, shave everyday and save yourself the agony. As for the red bumps, they will go away also as your skin gets used to it. Some advice though :
1). Don't use shaving cream. Shaving cream is rough on delicate skin. Use hair conditioner instead. Lay it on thick and let it sit for about 2 minutes before you shave.
2). Use a razor with at least 4 blades. If you buy those cheap plastic razors with only 2 blades, you will be hurting my friend.
3). Get a razor with safety wire too. That way you won't accidently nick yourself.
4). Shave everyday if your going to stay shaven. The itching and bumps will decrease.
Good luck : )

It could be you just cut yourself while shaving or you got Folliculitis which is infection of hair follicles, either way, wait for a day or two, if no better, see a pharmacist for some antiseptic cream

You did do something wrong--you shaved where nobody ought to shave. The skin there is too sensitive for shaving. Get some aloe vera gel (sold as a sunburn treatment) to ease the discomfort while it's growing out and NEVER shave there again.

You most likely just cut yourself or irritated the skin.
