I have worked in NHS for past 15 years, when I came because there were so many vacant posts, I gave up my country, my family and youth to serve this country. I worked for 96 hrs at stretch without break and even volunteered to work at short notices to cover illnesses, but I am shown two fingers by my colleagues and citizens of this country, telling me to F*** off back to native land. It pains me, I am more than willing to do that, and tried once but I cant adjust to life back in my own country. Things have changed so much since then back home, I feel like ending it all, rather than going back.
I have given so much to this country and only recognition I get is that I am told "you have taken our jobs". Shall I put up with indignation or just pack up my bags and head somewhere human dignity has some value left.
Any ideas?

many people of many different races have been treated the same way all at different times in our history im Irish and we had to deal with somethings that might have been worst then the problem that your in
i can say that it will past sooner or later and people will feel differently but I'm sure that doesn't really help with the way they make you feel about who are but since this country was founded by criminals who were very deviant but they didn't run away like the Irish no one wanted us here we were considered the scum of the earth but we still stayed fought in every war built all the railroad and picked the mines clean and we built up the Catholic church and its followers with our brilliant education plans and im sure this will all past and be something that everyone will regret but if i stood in your shoes i would know that they all should of seen what happen when the Mexicans took their day off the USA didn't run and as much as they dislike you they cant live with out you and if your more qualified for the jobs then they are let them be angry and jealous because you have every right to be here as they do so dont let them fool you or discourage you from the path that you want to follow
with love going your way

You have been much thanked by the patients you have seen, regardless of your nationality.
May I suggest you consider a South American country for further service? The capital cities are crying out for doctors, and the country areas are totally devoid of medical workers. In the capitals you could make a decent living, with all the modern conveniences, plus status in the community. In the rural areas, your work would be received gratefully, but the living conditions would be less modernised. You would have status in the community, and domestic help is widely available. My choice would be Quito Ecuador, then La Paz, Bolivia. Though I believe that Ecuador has just had a 'bad' political change in President and govt. . .
Do not go back. Your ideas are too 21st century. Sorry that the British Isles are not less racist. I also left England, and am happily cared for in the Untied States. Husband American. Consider yourself a missionary now to the third world. They will be grateful, whereever you go.

Hell you been here this long and you speak the language who cares where you come from or what you look like... be a real American... turn to them and with the appropriate middle finger raised... tell them to kiss your American A $ $...
in the US it doesn't matter what you do... just look at what Congress is doing to the men in women in the American Military... many of the Democrats are telling the world that we lost and the war is over... while they men and women from here are still there dying... kinda sounds like treason doesn't it... given the fact that we are in a declared war
Every race suffered at some point in this country... some more than others depends ...
my German ancestors suffered so much they had to change their names during the 1st and 2nd world war
stick it out and stand up for yourself... you have that right

I find that very sad Aaron indeed i find it absolutely disgusting and I'm sure your a good man and i can see you would be a loss to you employers. How has this come about after 15 years what has actually happened for you colleagues to turn against you. I suggest you have a word with your union or who you have and tell them exactly what you have said here I can only apologise for this disgusting behaviour and i wish you Good Luck and dont give into these people

It sounds like you want to live in this country, and so as your brother in Christ you have my blessing.
We are all immigrants, because NO-ONE can ever EARN the right to life, IT HAS ALREADY BEEN GIVEN BY GOD.
Also this country is Our Lady's dowry, so actually it belongs to her.
Thank you so much for the service you have given in this country, but also stop seeking the approval of men, who unlike you may not have recognised their subjectivity, but instead seek the approval of God.
How many years do you have to live in this temporary place? Give those remaining years to God and let him guide you so that these years may be years of healing, forgiveness and fulfillment!

just smile and think to yourself 'i am better than you'. you have done this country a service for 15 years and you should be proud. don't let the small mindedness of some people drive you out.
