Ok. As i understand it, ovulation lasts around 12-24 hours. how if you dont have sex on that exact day can you become pregnant?

If you have sex right before that 12-24 hours, sperm can still be active inside you. That sperm is basically "waiting" for the egg to come down and can fertilize it.

ovulation last up two five days so during that time frame you should have sex the first day and everyother day or more if possilbe the everyother day thing just comes into play because sometimes men need to build back up their sperm production. .................above not trying to be mean at all just wanted to educate but the sperm swims to the egg and fertilizes it not the other way around.i like for people to let me know if im wrong because it helps everyone when you can give a better answer be it here or in your personal life =)

The egg is viable for about 72 hours and the sperm can live for about 72 hours. So you can get pregnant if you have sex approximately 3 days before or after you ovulate.

it's two days before and two days after your fertile day. you can become preggo on those days. it's not a diffinite.
