How many do you have/want?

I don't have any, nor do I want any.
But for some odd reason I did have kids, I would only want one, and I would adopt him from a poor country.

No I don't have kids, nor do I want kids.

I don't think I would make a very good mother, since everyone becomes their parents, and my mom is crazy. I love the lady, but she made almost 2 decades of my life pure hell. I don't feel the need to do that to an innocent child.

It makes me sad sometimes, because I love kids, but I seriously think I'd be better off getting a puppy.

What a great idea to adopt as well!! We have friends that have 1 biological &1
by adoption. They are finalizing the 2nd adoption. We have 5 {1 with Jesus}
ages 42 {the one with Jesus} and the rest 44, 45 and 2 at 49. We also have 8
grandkids aged 14 to 25.

Out of all my friends, I was always the one who never wanted kids. I knew what I put my mother through and swore to NEVER have kids that would do the same to me...

But alas...

I now have 2 sons, aged 2 and 11. I had my tubes tied last summer and I really wish I hadn't because I think I would have liked to try for a girl. My luck, I'd have another boy, which would be fine too.

I find now that I'm in my 30's I am much more patient with my second son than I was with my first. I feel badly about that but its through the experience of having that first child when you're young and naive and selfish that you learn from your mistakes and subsequent children get the benefit of your experience.

Being a mother has truly been the most wonderful experience of my life, and I couldn't have possibly known that way back in High School. Giving birth, watching them grow, crying with them when they make mistakes and praising them when they learn from those mistakes, and being proud of all they do are all truly God's best gifts to me.

Well, if you asked if I wanted kids when I was younger I would have definitely said NO way! However, because of extreme fertility in which birth control methods didn't work on me, I had my first child at 18, a year and one day after I got married at 17. I had my second child at 20 and my third at 21. Though I was young when I got my start being a mother, I quickly fell in love with my children and have never regretted having them. Even when my first husband left during my third pregnancy giving the excuse that he only wanted 2 kids, I deeply loved and still wanted my children. My ex even got two other people pregnant while I was still in my 3rd pregnancy. As soon as I legally could after my third child was born, I got divorced. I also had my tubes tied.

Though I did not plan any of my children, I believe God, in His infinite wisdom did plan them. I was forced to be a single mother of three for many years, but I still do not regret having my children. I love them too dearly to ever wish them away.

We didn't fall into the statistics for most single-parent families. My children (teenagers now) are all very active in church and school. My daughter was Salutatorian of her high school and is a sophomore in college (with a 4.0) after only attending one semester (because she took concurrent and advanced placement courses during high school). My boys are in 10th and 11th grade and are truly gentlemen among boys. I am so very proud of all three of my children who are so far from being typical teens!

I agree with you completely. I don't have or want kids, but if I changed my mind, I would adopt one from another country in order to give it a better chance at life.

I have a 35 year old son, and a 9 year old grandson, besides my hubby, they are the greatest part of my life.... I have 3 girlfriends (longtime friends) that all chose not to have children and couldn't be happier w/ the choice they made.

No, and I haven't decided. I'm still single with no prospects so far. I also want to wait until I have a good job before I think about kids.

About 90% of the fun that I've ever had in life I owe to my kids. Kids are great!
