I don't know. I have the same problem. My 15yr. old boy is 6'3 and weighs 160 and skinny as a rail. He does run cross country in the fall, but he really isn't very active. I'm surprised he isn't packing on the weight. Guess its just his metabolism. Thought I was going to have to get a second job just to feed him.lol

if he is in his teens YES!! teen boys can put the food away if your worried lock the cabinets with the food in that should cut down on the grocery bill
