It depends on the woman. My man doesn't go to a salon, but if the suns out he's outside doing something (not laying out), but playing dodgeball with his nephew or something. I don't think they are gay if they go to a tanning salon, but they do seem metro to me.

Are you talking a spray tan or tanning beds? I don't think a man tanning makes him gay, but I do think that I personally would not date a man who tans in a bed, just like I wouldn't date a smoker. I couldn't deal with a man who did something so obviously bad for his body!

My husband and I love to go to the tanning bed together a few times before we go on trips. We start looking and feeling like we are on vacation before we go. I don't want him to look puny and pale! After we go to the tanning be we feel hot and sexy it is a great aphrodisiac for us. We have been married for 20 years. He is definitely not gay.

Nothing gay about a tanned man. Nothing gay about a man who takes care of his apperance in general.

It's not that we think it is 'gay', but it can be a turn off. I think it depends on the extent of "tanness". If it is very obvious that you are going to the saloon and spending a lot of time working on your tan i think it is a turn off. It's fine to keep up your appearance and all, but a guy that is so into himself that he is consumed with it is not attractive. I'm very turned off by guys who have the appearance that they take way more time than me to 'primp' and they care more than me about the way they look. Plus, on the smarter side of things, UV rays can be quite dangerous and I think it is ridiculous to disregard the fact that excessive tanning increases your risk of skin cancer.

No there's nothing wrong with that.....but in my opinion, I can't stand the obviously fake orange glow that you get in tanning places. I think a natural tan looks much nicer.

I'd say,
If the guy is gay, then he's gay weather he goes to the tanning salon or not.
If the guy is strait, (IMO) he should not feel gay because he uses artificial sun... It can relieve a ghostly skin tone and sometimes it's even prescribed for winter depression.

depends on the guy i guess. but mostly i think its gay. my best guy friend got a tan for a play when he had to be shirtless and seriously, the crowd would've thanked him for it (he was a ghost) i don't mind so much the actual act of going to the tanning salon, i care more about the outcome. if its totally fake looking i think its dumb. but if its for the worlds benefit, then i say, go for it.

We have a tanning bed at home and my husband uses it. And he is NOT gay!! My son uses it too (he's 31). And he's not gay either. They just don't like the pasty look, just the healthy glow. Personally, I agree!!
