First of all I don't think anybody has the right to judge on this issue unless they have been through it.
I was raped a few years ago by a guy I thought was trustworthy. I was a virgin until that night. And suddenly (bam) I was pregnant. I was so ashamed that I didn't tell anyone, not even my parents (until years later). I was so scared of being pregnant because I was not ready for a baby. I went to my doctor to get an idea of my options. I'm a diabetic and was on medications at the time. My doctor told me to abort the pregnancy because the amount of medications would disfigure the child and it wouldn't be born healthy, if it survived at all. The jerk who raped me paid for the abortion, and after that day I moved away, changed my name and started life over again. But that part of my life never went away. Every time I see a baby. I think of what I missed out on.
No one can ever judge a woman for having an abortion. I don't care how many human rights people are in this forum protesting that its "murder". They forget that it is the woman's choice, that's what "prochoice" means. There is always a reason why a woman chooses abortion. And hopefully its a good one.

First of all i dont think its right to say abortion is only ok if u been raped. That is not true who are u to say that. No one can say whats right for someone your not in there shoes you dont know what there life is like. We are not saints we all do things without thinking and things happen. I am not saying abortion is ok if its use to much and use as bc but i think of it more as a Second chance. Life is all about liveing your life the way u want and the best you can.

I have had a couple of abortions.....but I am a Christian now. So of course it's wrong. I would advise anyone who is having unprotected sex to get on BC or use a condom. I was on BC for 3 years after I had my last one. It's just irresponsible to know that you can get pregnant yet not take precautions and just wait until you are pregnant and decide to handle it that way. I would NEVER do that again.....Abstinence really is the best way to prevent this from happening.....and it's not all that bad either. Since I have been off BC I have not been sexually active. If you don't want to have a baby, don't have sex.

This is a highly personal question, and everyone is going to feel differently...it's just a matter of what the individual feels comfortable with.
I'd pretty much in favor of abortion...I don't believe it should be used as a form of birth control (there are much less dangerous and less expensive forms of b/c out there), but I think it should be up to the individual woman to decide whether abortion is right for her.
Personally, I'd have an abortion if I felt that I was unable to give that child a good home...I'd consider adoption, but if I were to become pregnant, I'd be taken off my position at work, and placed into one which I don't like at all, with less pay.

"I believe abortion is wrong because it teaches people they don't have to take responsibility for their actions." How so? Abortion is taking responsibility for your actions. Pregnancy alone needs good care, and if you don't have the money for the prenatal vitamins, and the doctor visits, and everything else that goes along with it then you're neglecting the pregnancy. Not taking responsibility for your actions is having a child you can't afford, can't care for, who will very unlikely ever get adopted. Which is basically any child that isn't white and isn't just about perfectly healthy. Most people do take precautions when they have sex. But thanks largely due to abstinence only education, they do not know how to properly take care of themselves or they believe absolute BS. For example, they may not know how to properly put a condom on. They may believe that a girl being on her period or pulling out prevents pregnancy. They may even try stupid s8it like using a deodorant cap as a female condom. "Just like if I decide to start smoking. If I get cancer, I need to take responsibility of that because I chose to smoke." And would taking responsibility be? Just sitting on your couch everyday, waiting to die? Or going to the doctor and getting help? Just about anyone who cares about dogs would tell you are a stupid irresponsible POS who should be shot if you try to adopt a dog that you can't pay vet bills for, can't provide the time and love they need, and don't particularly like dogs anyways. I can't help but wonder about the mentality of a person who thanks the responsible thing to do is for some to force themselves through nine months of pregnancy when they don't want it, can't afford it, don't have the time or energy for it, and when most likely the child is also going to suffer dearly.

Abortion is okay if you absoulutly cannot have the baby. Examples:
If your raped
If you are a certain age ( 12 -15)
This is a very strong topic. If you use abortion as a birth conrtol thats not okay. My freind is 17 and her partner is 21 and shes pregnant with his baby. He has no job his parents found out before hers she doesnt want to go to college and she vey immature. Shes due in July but i feel she shuldve stayed on her birth control pills and used a condom but if all else failed an she still became pregnant she shuldve had an abortion. HERES A FACT
87% of men are against abortion they all will never get pregnant.

This is a personal decision. I think it's never OK. People ask "What about rape?". What about it? It's not the child's fault. Also, many say it's ok for "medical reasons". These, combined with rape, account for only about 2% of all abortions. 98% are performed for lazy/inconsiderate "birth control". Even for medical reasons, I am against it. It's my opinion and I encourage everyone to form his or her own even if you totally disagree with me.

Well it depends on what you view is abortion.
Some feel the Morning After Pill is abortion... I dont see it as abortion, therefore I feel that is alright to use in any circumstance.
I do not agree with partial birth abortions, UNLESS the woman's life is in danger.
I do not agree in abortions as a type of birth control, EG: A woman who has had SEVERAL of them, and doesnt use birth control, condoms etc. I think that is wrong.
Mostly I think abortion is alright if is used under 'emergency' circumstances: woman's life is in danger, woman was raped, the woman is too young. ...something along those lines.

Abortion should not be a first line method of birth control. Beyond that any woman who wishes not to be pregnant or a mother should be able to have an abortion if she wishes without guilt or shame from people who have a different view as to what constitutes life.

i don't care how low people wanna score me, i'm just saying what i feel! i believe that abortion is wrong period. however there are the times when a girl has been raped and has had the birth terminated b4 the baby even reached any of its first stages. i don't think that that's wrong. anyways, i think abortion is the killin of a baby, i don't believe it should be a woman's choice if she willingly had sex w/ another man to begin w/. this is why we have protection like condoms and birth control pills. besides i don't believe girls should be having sex unless they are readily equipped to deal w/ consequences such as these and others like std's that may occur. so no, i don't believe abortion is ok at all, but i also think its wrong that people keep judging these girls that have had them. we all make mistakes, and we all deserve a second chance.

3 reasons
1 danger to the life or health of the mother.
2 Fatal fetal abnormalities.
3 Rape / Incest.
These make up on average 3% of all abortions.
The other 97% are done as a form of birth control that is what should be outlawed, not abortion.
There are some real genuine reasons and of course it should be legal and the women treated with respect, dignity and understanding.
As for forms of birth control in this day and age there is absolute no excuse for it. None.
