why does the skool suspended u when all u do when getting suspended is have like a vacation from skool its so stupid. i mean i get suspended all the time i dont really see that being a punishment to anyone except like dorks. me and my friends were talking about this in pe yesterday and we all thought it was a really dumb punishment. wats the point of getting suspended anyway.

Honestly, I've often wondered the same thing. I have never been suspended, but it's typically the kids who do bad stuff who get suspended.....and they couldn't care less anyway, so what does it matter to them if they get suspended?? Not much, obviously.

Well in the adult world being suspended means time off with no pay.Repeated bad behaviour results in either further suspension or being fired.None of this looks good on a resume.Your school records are like your employment record.You may call people dorks for attending school because they have goals and have the ability to work hard to achieve their goals.Since you claim your father is a lawyer I will assume he was a past dork and attended school for many years to provide you with your life of privilege.What kind of lifestyle do you think you would have if your father did not value an education.Don't believe me, ask him how important an education is?

I totally agree with you. When I was younger I was suspended from school for cutting class. My father went down to the Principle's office and said "Why are you suspending her from school for cutting classes, apparently she didn't want to be there in the first place. Isn't suspending her giving her more of what she already wants? To me, that's a reward. When I screw up at work my boss doesn't send me on a vacation." The Principle said "She has to work really hard when she comes back to school to make up all the missed work and catch up with the rest of the class. So, it really isn't a vacation for her. She does have to do the work when she gets back." It never made sense to me then and it doesn't make sense to me now. I'm sure there's more to it than that though. However, it does go on your records and that's never a good thing.

Look at your spelling mistakes and then wonder why getting suspended is so bad. The object of suspension is to get the trouble making kids away from the kids that are actually trying to learn something to better themselves for the future. So goodluck on your long burger joint career and don't forget to ask if they would like fries with that.

Some who hate school get suspended or expelled on purpose. Think about it, it is one way for a student to get out of school and get by compulsory attendance. Forcing older students 16+ to attend school is pointless if they really do not want to be there. They may of course do the above on purpose or just sit there like a log not doing required work, failing on purpose etc.

They let you stay home? At my old school, you had to attend the classes, but you couldn't do anything or bring anything and make up the work in your oun time.
It is a really dumb punishment to reward you with that when all you wanted was not to be in school in the first place.

Emawee, it's because the school does not want to deal with the problem kids so they are shirking responsibility and making the parents deal with them instead. In effect, the school is taking a vacation too. Because let me tell you what, the one time I got out of school suspension, my daddy was NOT amused, but the school was pleased because they didn't have to deal with my spoiled girl antics for a a whole day.

My school used to give suspensions to kids who skipped classes. It really didn't make much sense to me ether. Boy the kids who don't go to school are really going to be upset when you tell them the don't have to go to school (sarcasm). The real reason is because detention has to be supervised by a teacher, and that means some poor soul has extra work to do. Really schools don't have any real form of inforcible punishment they can administer because they're not allowed to hit kids anymore.

its called u miss school work school lectures which can lead to failing ur grade which is even more stupid then getting suspended n if ur teachers let u make up the work there stupid too cuz ur not suppose too thats the point of suspention

will sometimes parents punish their kids when their suspended and dont make in into a "vacation" for their kids..... Probably those dorks who dont have fun when their suspended have parents who care!
