I imagine you could refuse but it will affect your business. When you fit bathrooms could you just close the door over and get on with the job without the customer being in the room? I know it's not really the answer you were looking for, but I think if someone smokes and they then feel the right to smoke in their own home is being questioned, that may just annoy them a bit.

they dont care about the looks of other peoples property, so they will do whatever they can to disrespect it. But when it comes to their own property, they dont want their own house looking like a trash heap that nobody ever takes care of. People who do graffiti want to leave their mark in the community, but not in their own home where nobody will notice it.

That's a funny question. Most likely because it's their own bathroom. Some people don't really show respect for other property other than their own most of the time, it shows with the public restrooms hahaha

Cool idea; I think I'll put up a graffiti wall in my bathroom. I've seen some restrooms that did this, and it's entertaining.

I remember Norman Mailer wrote a book praising graffiti as an art form. I would like to see how people who agree with that answer your question.

It seems to me its not art, its an eye-sore that shows hostility and disrespect. So obviously there's a double standard going here: "Its good for you but I'll pass on it at my crib!"

That's not why we do graffiti. Nobody from out there's gonna read it in your bathroom. Post-its more like it for home.

Because they know the bathroom inspector (you) will be around.
Your example makes me wonder about the relationship you share with your mother.

Beat them to it the next time you asked to be excused or are invited to someone's house.
