How many married men cheat vs married women?

I think its an equal share. Although, women are more smart in doing so.

Almost 1/2 of all married men have or will cheat on their wives at some point in their relationship. It's only 1/4 - 1/3 for women, which either means that they are lying or the ones who do cheat, have relationships multiple times.

That still means that over half of all married men do not cheat and two-thirds of married women.

By the way, there might be an issue here in how one defines cheating. There are a number of married couples who allow their spouses to have other relationships and they are perfectly happy. Is this cheating?

There will never be a true (accurate" survey on this because of the truth factor, but take it from a 40 something yr.old whose been on the social circuit for years, I have been "tricked" by many married women who didn't tell me until after the fact. As I have seen just by being out there for so long, women cheat just as much as men but just for deeper reasons.

Based on recent surveys by Cosmopolitan and some British mag, women cheat more often than men. It's not a landslide difference, but it's a difference.

How much worth you deem these polls is up to you of course, but if you're asking about this on an online web site then I guess any source is pretty valid.

I think that the percentage is pretty much the same, although I think women are sneakier about it. Men may be sloppy - getting strange phone calls, leaving the room for the phone calls, coming home smelling like another woman. Women, in my experience, tend to cover up. A part of them feels bad for doing what they are doing and maybe they'll act a little bit more lovey dovey towards their husband - making them a great dinner, etc.

That's a completely invalid comparison because the motivating reasons for extramarital sex for men and women are completely different. A man can have sex with a woman other than his wife and still honestly be in love with his wife. When a woman cheats on her husband it's because she doesn't love him anymore.
Assigning a common term to two completely different realities is wrong.
If a man cheated on his wife the way that a woman would ,he would leave her first.

According to this report, 30-60% of all married people cheat, and men are more likely to do so than women, but they don't cite actual numbers along gender lines.

Another report lists 25% of married men, and 10-15% of married women, though one might never know (based on the fact that if a person lies about having sex to the one they're supposed to be closest to, he/she will also lie about it to others).

It is more acceptable for men to cheat; after all, men will be men!!! If women cheat, they are looked at as being a slut. I guess women are supposed to control their sexuality but men don't have to.

the problem with it is. its excalty the same number of both. 42% of men cheat and 42% of women cheat. the biggest problem about it is who is a better liar. women seem to be better liars. so this would be alot better if they all would quit cheating. i dont cheat never have never will.
