Oh, also I am asian and my mom will be coming with us so we need a city that offer asian store so my mom can get a recipes there.

hey! im also of the asian persuasion XD and i currently live here in vegas. i suggest that u find a home here in the silverado area --just south of the las vegas strip and just above the city limits of henderson. the area is wonderful. many stores nearby. the South Point Hotel and Casino is 5 minutes away. the galleria mall of henderson is like 20 minutes away and (assuming you're filipino) seafood city, island pacific and all those other oriental grocery markets are also about 20 minutes away. however, you do have to drive through the airport to reach the "better" oriental stores, which isnt at all that bad. unlike chinatown and the heavily congested part of west las vegas.

the silverado area is much closer to california compared to summerlin and north las vegas. not to mention, the place is booming with asians too :p

good luck finding a home

The Las Vegas area is comprised of Las Vegas, Henderson/ Green Valley, North Las Vegas and Boulder City.

Las Vegas has a huge asian community including a decent sized China town. If you want to be near or close to Chinatown, I would move to Vegas. There are many nice neighborhoods there including Summerlin, the Southwest, and Northwest.

I would avoid the city of North Las Vegas.

Try Henderson. It's south of Vegas, near Lake Las Vegas, and seems to be dealing with the growth pretty well.
