The date and time of the computer (or server) that send the e-mail is wrong. The e-mail is not smart enough to know the date/time. It just passes along what the computer that sent it says it is.

Obviously, the e-mail in question is being sent to you from the future sorta like in the movie The Lake House.

Some people have wrong dates on their computer, and the timestamp for sending the email will be off then too.

Email gets time stamped by a server when sending out, if the server's internal clock is incorrect, it will stamp the incorrect date/time.

Some mail clients allow you to set the date yourself. A lot of spam bots use this so they are at the top of your inbox.

if you know the person.. write to them and let them know they have to change the date on their calendar.. if they say their calendar is ok.. they have a virus..
If you don't know the person.. dump the message.
Either way... scan your computer!!
