same problem with 4 test........YOU ARE PREGNANT CONGRATS. Here is what I found on it
On a pregnancy test, a faint test line - or color band - is usually indicative of a positive result, as long as it's read within the allotted time frame - or reaction time of the test (usually at 5-10 minutes). If you do the pregnancy test properly and read it within the recommended time, then a faint and weak line is very likely a positive pregnancy test. Explanations for a faint positive line include:
You may be testing too early after conception - the hCG in your body may not be at a sufficient level for test detection. hCG doubles every two days, so wait and test again using first morning urine.
Different test sensitivity. As tests detect hCG at different levels, a faint line on one variety of test may appear as a stronger line on a 20 mIU test.
Urine dilution. Your urine may be diluted due to frequent urination or consumption of liquids. First morning urine is recommended for pregnancy testing as it contains the most concentrated presence of hCG.
Chemical pregnancy. Sometimes, an early pregnancy is detected - followed by negative test results. A chemical pregnancy means implantation takes place followed by a miscarriage - usually before any other pregnancy symptoms are detected.

RE:
first response early result faint positive?
I took a test and there's a faint pink line that's so hard to see I can only see it in shadow and not direct light. If it gets darker over time can I assume its positive? My last period was March 8th and no period yet...FYI, hope not TMI...

Test again tomorrow (you KNOW you are going to anyway!). It sounds very promising (a positive IS a positive) but the shadow thing sounds a little dicey. Don't trust in it getting darker as time goes on-there's a reason you are only supposed to read the test within a certain window of time. Lines that appear later are called evaporation lines and do not indicate pregnancy.
Good Luck!

If the faint light came up during the time period for testing (and wasn't much later, as an evaporation line) then it's positive.
Try again tomorrow- the line should be darker. Equate (Walmart) is a good brand. For some reason the blue dyed ones seem easier to see for me.
Congrats!

I took the first response tests two weeks ago- They each had such a faint line you could barley see it but it was there. I went to my doctor to get a blood test, and I was 4 weeks pregnant. It was just too early for the line to be darker. I am now 6 weeks. Sounds like you are in the same boat, congratulations!

A positive is a positive. Sounds like you're pregnant! Even if it's faint, it's still a positive. Congratulations!

Faint or not, it's positive. Don't watch it for too long though, because the results can change after a while. I believe it says to wait 5 min. and then check it.

Any line, even the faint ones usually mean positive, but if you let it sit and read it later it will turn darker no matter what, so don't rely on that. Wait a little while and take another.

Sounds like my first positive with the same test. Took one the next day & it was darker. A line, no matter how faint, is still a line.
