Your question is awfully broad. No one wants to wear the same clothes and style all the the time. You won't wear the same style out with friends on a saturday afternoon as you would to work or dinner.

Try HIM, Cafe Monaco or Ann Taylor for stylish wear for work or dinner/dating. Consider, Abercrombie, GAP, Pacific Sunwear or Old Navy for more casual daytime wear.

Depends on a lot of things. Are you a student, or do you work in an office? What's your budget?
You can find reasonably priced casual clothers in a lot of stores: Target, Old Navy, H&M.
For professional clothes, I like Ann Taylor.

well, start with what you can afford, and move on to what you like! surely you already know what you like? believe me, it is not a fast process to develop your own style. just go to the mall and browse around, read lots of style magazines, and see if one develops for you. also, places like Ross and TJMaxx are good for getting off-the-rack brand name stuff for cheaper, you just have to dig around their racks a bit. you've dressed yourself so far! if you're really really worried about it, depending on where you live, you could probably hire a consultant to help you out. some major dept stores have that service as well.
