I've heard people say some people have periods or something like a period during pregnancy. My last period was April 3rd so I haven't missed but knew something was up and had a home pregnancy test come back positive. I didn't think they could detect the hormone this early, so I was wondering if any women have ever heard of or had this happen before. Please don't tell me to go to the emergency room, I have an appointment Monday, and am not feeling any sort of pain or bleeding right now, just wondering if it's possible to not miss a period.

Yes, they can detect the hormone that early. Also, if your last period was April 3rd, you may miss your next one. Although they can happen, false positives are VERY rare and if the test detected HCG in your system, you are probably pregnant. Congrats!

I've heard of that before.
If you suspect that you got pregnant after your April 3rd period then that's ok because some pregnancy tests are sensetive and can detect within 7 days i believe.
But if you knew that you were pregnant and had the bleeding after that, then i advice you to go to the doctor right away.
Bleeding could be a sign of miscarriage even if you didn't have any other signs or pain. It happened to me before.
It won't hurt you to check. Good Luck

It's possible to still have a period. The doctor will do a more acurate pregnancy test when you go in. Just expect that you are pregnant (those tests are rarely wrong).
