They are two very different types of players.
Ginobli can play good defense, draw offensive fouls by flopping and cause a real headache for anyone he's guardings. Plus he shoots the ball pretty well.
Barbosa is an incredible shooter. Many people think he is just a driver, but he shot 50% from the 3 point range. He needs work on his defense and passing however.
In my opinion (as of right now) if I HAD to pick on as being better I would say Ginobli. I personally hate ginobli, I think his game is ugly and he looks like a mad man on the court. That said he is very effective and gets things done. Barbosa I would consider a much bigger offensive threat, but his lack of defensive skills and team playing slightly move him below Ginobli.

Barbosa has carried his team in the playoffs wih 24 points on 48% shooting and is the reason the suns are leading their series.
Meanwhile manu is only contributing 13 points on 37% shooting and is way too inconsistent and makes poor basketball choices.
The better player this year is Barbosa who has shot better all year and consistently been a game changer. Manu lives off other players and was a starter and got demoted because he couldn't bring consistent energy to the starting line up. Plays better without the pressure of being a starter and is known for being a non-factor.

Seriously I would have to say Ginobli... Just cause Barbosa is coming off the bench... Ginobli gets large amounts of playing time and he is consistent... Coming off the bench like Barbosa you don't know how many minutes you are going to get.... You get bursts from barbosa but consitency with Ginobli. But if barbosa did start it would be a hard call and I think barbosa might be better... but it would be again a tough call....

Ooh, good question. At this point I still have to go with Ginobili, although it's heating up and Barbosa is seriously almost as good. I give a slight nod to Ginobili for his defense, which I think is a little better than Barbosa's. Otherwise, these are two great, underappreciated players in the league that'd be starters on any other team, and probably All-Stars for that matter. Both are better than foreign players like Peja Stojakovic. Great question.

You have to go with Manu.
Both players were drafted by the spurs (little known fact) but Barbosa was traded to the suns hours after the draft.
They are different kinds of players with different styles, so it is impossible to compare them. But, that being said, Manu excels in one main area: crunch time.
As long as Steve Nash is on the Suns, he will be the go-to guy. Manu has proven, on a team with an MVP and all-star point guard, that he can and has taken over in crunch time and been clutch.
Plus, Barbosa usually comes in to spell Nash, so he's probably playing against a lot of backups...

At this point it's Ginobili for his leadership ability. But Barbosa is catching up fast. I don't think he'll really come into his own until Steve Nash retires or Barbosa moves to a new team.

I think Leandro is way better cause he not only scores but he can be a leader on another team. He also makes better choices than Mano. Leandro is better because he shares the ball and he can just explode for points when ever he wants he has the speed, skill, and he has the leadership to lead his team when Steve Nash is on the bench.

Lets compare the pros of both playesr:
Manu's playing style and his left handed moves throw defenders off, allowing him to score during "clutch" situations later in the game. Throughout the year, hes been off during the first and second half, but when the spurs need him to hit those jumpers, or a left handed drive to the lane, he can do it.
Leandro's playing style is basically his amazing speed. Yes, manu is fast, but Leandro has quickness to his steps, he has that quickness that passes defender on a fast break, and around players of set plays. Both players are finishers around the rim, but Leandro is definately the better defender. His long wing span allows him to pick off passes and guard jump shooters.
Ultimately, both players are amazing assets to their respective teams, however, Leandro, this season, thus far, has been more consistent, and more defense. Scoring wise, they are about equal
