I'm 18 weeks and have only gained 2. Honestly, at the point you're at, the baby only weighs a couple of ounces. Not really enough to tip the scales. Plus you're right at the end of your first trimester...many women LOSE weight in the first trimester, due to either morning sickness or advanced pregnancy metabolism. You're likely to start gaining in the next month...about 3-4 pounds a month for the rest of your pregnancy should be fine. Don't worry about what you haven't put on, as long as you're eating healthy and plenty (you need about 2300 calories a day while pregnant, in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters).

Yeah it happens...sometimes due to different reasons. Some women hardly gain any weight while being pregnant and some gain a whole lot. i know when i was pregnant with the twins, i didn't gain any weight for 14 weeks because of nausea. But i ended up gaining 50 pounds at the end of the pregnancy, whereas i gained 4 pounds the first trimester with my daughter and 40 pounds at the end.

I actually lost 20 pounds in the first 3-4 months of both my pregnancies from the morning sickness. Don't worry about the whole weight thing unless your doctor says you're not gaining enough weight. The only time you're actually supposed to gain a whole ton is like the last month or so you're supposed to gain a pound a week. Sounds like you're prefectly healthy to me.

relies upon on your commencing weight, and how undesirable the morning disease is. in case you began out obese, then this is totally widespread to truly lose some pounds for the time of the 1st trimester (tho 15's somewhat plenty even then). in case you weren't obese first of all, this may be a huge situation. Are you purely no longer keeping something down simply by morning disease? Are you ingesting the pronounced energy for pregnant mothers? (3 hundred greater effective than your widespread allowance would be in line with weight/height/age and so on. There are calculators everywhere in the internet). except you have been heavily obese once you began, i'd definately communicate on your physician approximately dropping that plenty weight. He/she will the two deliver you to a nutritionist, or if this is undesirable morning disease, prescribe some thing that can assist you you keep food down. He/she will additionally order an ultrasound to make confident each little thing's progressing widespread. desire this facilitates!

As long as your appetite is good then there shouldnt be a problem. I'm sure you will start gaining weight soon. With my 1st I didn't start gaining any weight until I was around 4-5 months. I gained 80 lbs throughout my whole pregnancy. I was HUGE!! I am 21 weeks with my 2nd and I have only gained 8 lbs so everyone is different. IF your Dr is concerned then he/she will tell you until then don't stress!!

Yes, it is okay. The baby is still really small. A healthy weight gain for 14 weeks is 5 to 7 pounds, but some women gain less. Double check with your dr. and try to eat healthy foods.

You're only 3 1/2 months. I didn't gain any weight until my 5th month. Its probably because I threw up everything the first 4. Then one day when I was five month pregnant I saw my belly move and sure enough there was a baby.

Don't worry the weight will come! with my son I was sick the whole 9 months and in the beginning (first 4 or 5 months) I lost weight; but honey let me tell you by the 9th month I looked like a swollen beach ball! I weighed 174lbs. I was a size 2 prior to pregnancy and I am an 8 now. Dont you wish all of the weight on yourself, because its hard carrying it at the end with swollen aching feet and ankles:)

Good luck

Dont' worry about it. I didn't gain any weight until 19 weeks, although I did notice before that that my waist was thickening. After 19 weeks, I gained 10 lbs in a month! This was also when I had my ultrasound done, and it wasn't until then that I finally felt pregnant!
