I'm thinking of starting Foxville in the middle of Ellesmere Island. Why should historic dead people have all the fun in founding cities and naming them?

Lake Havasu, Arizona is the newest city I can think of. It was formed in the early 1960's. I think.

New cities are begun every day, so one would have to check on the news of the day. Cities usually begin as a collection of houses that then go into towns and then into cities. There is a lot involved in creating a city and actually they don't work where they are planned artificially. Cities grow based on where they are located and the NEED for a city to be there. Is it a port city? A city on a river or lake? on a railroad or a highway? No city just exists ... it fulfills the need of the people there. One question we might ask of you, oh Mayor of Foxville (good name, by-the-way) is what need with Foxville fulfill in our lives?

New cities are established all the time.

"Dead people" get the honor because they have done things that have contributed to the community, the country, or mankind. They don't just have "all the fun"; they earned that honor.

If you started a new city today, send me a brochure and I'll certainly consider!

You don't just start a city for giggles. Businesses and houses start popping up due to work in the area. Good luck with your whole deal.

The "last" North American city has not yet been founded. (I hope.)
Yes Mr. Mayor, you have my vote.
