Yes, the US election will be a message to Islamist terrorists, and they are eagerly awaiting it.
I suppose they will stay as quiet as they can until then, to make people think they aren't really aggressive.
But if some of them can't resist sending the US a sincere message before then, it will probably result in a Republican victory.
And you are quite right, the US election will tell the Islamists how to proceed next.
But whichever way the election goes, hostilities are bound to increase for the next few years.

The terrorists will certainly fear us more if our next president actually has a brain. The next president can do the most by actually looking for terrorists where they hide instead of making up stories about connections between the terrorists and a random world leader and then starting a war that creates thousands of new terrorists.

I would prefer it also to be a message about the quality of life in America. Educational disparity, health care, the environment. America's future isn't solely in the hands of terrorists. We have some say too.

Partial answer - some of the news will be misinterpreted by the terrorists. I don't think we Americans convey a single point of view when we vote in mass

No question it will be a message to the terrorists and the rest of the world. No matter the outcome.

I strongly disagree. the majority of canidates in both parties have very similar stances concerning terrorism and terrorist groups. Any president will need a plan for enhanced intelligence, a plan fro response and a plan to use diplomacy as a preventive measure with nations we suspect of harboring terrorists. There are those in both parties capable of doing these things. The very things this administration has failed to do.

Yes, it will tell the terrorist that a real leader is about to take over who won't waste are resources on attacking nations that didn't attack us first. Therefore they better f**cking run because their time is up.
