I am fairly sure that I am pregnant, but I am waiting to take an hpt. My cervix has been soft, high, and closed for the past week. My lmp started on the eighth and lasted through the twelfth. I ovulated on the 18th, a week early. If my calculations are correct, the egg should be implanting soon.

My concern is this. My cervix is still soft, but it seems to have come down lower than it was yesterday (the fluid is also thin and clear, with a water-like texture). Yesterday it was very high, and I almost couldn't reach it. I also woke up with a nagging pain in my lower left abdomen, very close to the pelvis. It's not like period cramps, but almost like gas pain, though it doesn't feel as if it is in my intestines.

Is this common? Could this just be implantation, or gas? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated ^_^

I know I ovulated early because I could feel when the egg was released. Not only that, but my cervix was classic SHOW.

And though I do appreciate the comment on keeping my fingers out of there, I clean my hands before and after, and I don't need a complete stranger telling me that what I am doing is wrong. I have spoken to my doctor about it, and she told me that it is fine.

I felt some cramps in early pregnancy. It's possible what you were feeling was implantation, though most people do not report feeling anything.

Gas pains are common in pregnancy too as hormones slow down the digestive system - but it's a bit early for you to be feeling that symptom.

Unfortunately, there's no way to answer this question conclusively for another few days, but you should be able to do a home pregnancy test soon. I know you are probably anxious, but try to wait at least two weeks from the 18th, or you may get a false negative.

How do you know you ovulated a week early - that doesn't sound right... Usually people ovulate late due to stress - but i've never heard of someone ovulating early...

Your CM is more of a teller than cervical position. The last day of your stretchy mucus is the day you ovulate.
