Best friends to be considered are those person you understand your weaknesses and help you cope up with it. they also don't abuse your goodness. if you are to consider him/her as your bestfriend, time of knowing each other doesn't matter, it is on how he/she accept you and support you on times of difficulties and cheers with you in times of triumph.

you could also have a lot of bestfriends as you wish, but be careful about choosing to whom you are going to open up every details of your life, coz, the persons you considered as bestfriend can also become your BEASTFRIEND.

Good luck!!! hope that these would help.

You can have more then 1 'best friend' ya know. You don't really need to show so much favoritism though. If you and another person are close, then you have no reason to call them 'best friend' or not to call them 'best friend'. A 'best friend' can be considered more of a label anyways....

And make it sound like 9 months is a short time, 'cause it's not. Just like in video games, it doesn't matter how long you've had the game, but how many hours you put into it.

You don't decide on a best friend. You roll with whatever comes down the pike and if, down the road you are still friends, regardless of what goes on between you, then you have a friend. Men and women can be good friends but I feel that a best friend should be the same gender. You should try and keep all the best friends you ever have. There doesn't have to be just one. You can have as many as you want.

All this question is about is titles. If you hang out with this person all the time and know this person VERY WELL then indeed you are best friends. But if you feel uncomfortable with saying so in the first place, then obviously you have a trust issue or uneasy feeling about your relationship that should be addressed.

Always listen to your gut and it doesn't really matter how long you've known someone. If you've known someone for 3 months, hang out with him or her all the time and trust that person, then you are best friends.

Titles don't really matter so much.

yeah, I honestly can say I have 9 best friends. I love them all the same. I've only known one for two months...but hey, some people can bond pretty quickly. You should be more trusting if he's already shown that he can trust you as a "best friend" dont you think?

Dont let your guard down.Best means there should be mutual understanding. For me i having a friend he my best friend.I never told him that i like him . He also never told me that he like me the best. But now we both of feel we are best friends and we are.Selection on best friend must come form your heart and not by saying to each other which will split each other very soon .I feel that friend which comes from the heart is the best friend.

Accept the compliment gracefully but don't be swayed by it. Be urself. Keep ur eyes open. Sometimes people want to gain something from somebody and they use complements to get their way. Time is a great revealer it will reveal in due course the other person in his/her true colours. So be normal in ur relationship. do not drop ur guard. Time will prove.

your best friend is going to be the person that is always there for you. they know when something is wrong and will be there right beside you without you even asking. they know how to cheer you up and have a good time with you. you can have more than one best friend don't forget that and don't let your other friends forget. hope that helps!

I don't "pick" a best friend...friends that I have simply become bestfriends of mine through their behavior and our relationship as it grows.

I've never chosen a best friend before...but I've had a few over the years. The one I have now became my best friend because of what we shared and had in common (which we discovered shortly after we got to know one another). ☺

You can still hang out with him but don't act like you are best friends. Stil hang out with your other "best friends" so he sees that you have other friends too. You should just give it time, who knows, you might actually turn into best friends some day. But you can have more than one best friend.
