First off, while there are three Linear feet in a Linear yard, there are nine SQUARE feet in a Square yard.

So you’d divide your 6000 sq. ft. by 9 (not 3), and get 666.66666 (666 2/3). Dividing that by 18 gives us 37.0370370370370370 (37 1/27).

first divide 6000ft by 3 (3ft=1 yd) to get how many yards.
that answer is 2000Yds
then divide 2000 by 18 and you get 111.1 with the decimal one being a repeating decimal

You could convert to yards first

100/3 = 33.333

60/3 = 20

Area = 33.33*20 = 666.67 yds^2

or

there are 9 ft^2 in a square yard.

Area = 6000/9 = 666.67 yds^2

good luck.
