Ok so my friend is having baby #2. Her first one will be just over 2 years old when baby #2 is born. I really want to get her a double stroller, but Im not sure if I should get a sit and stand, or a double stroller, and if I get her a double stroller, what brand have you found is the best? They use a Graco infant seat.

She has a moms club where they sometimes go to the mall, park, playground. We also get together 1-2 times a month to walk around the mall. I know they have a fullsized stroller for walking in their neighborhood, and she uses a smaller one in her car so that the kiddo can ride or run around when she goes out.

I would want a double stroller with the 2 full seats. They have large baskets underneath and plenty of places to put stuff up top (cell phone, drink, etc). I know when I'm out places like that with my 15 mos old, I don't want to have to carry anything. Having a newborn and a toddler would only make that need for free hands more urgent. Plus, you are not going to have to get it out several times a day. If you are in and out of the car running errands, you're probably going places that have shopping carts. So, if it's a little bulky, who cares. It's worth it once your out.
I am actually going to mourn the day that I don't need to take a stroller because then I'll have to carry my own shopping bags again! ...and drink, and purse, and snack, and phone, and jacket...moms really need 3 more hands!

The Sit and Stand I would not recommend for her because if the older baby wants to sleep he/she won't have a place to rest. The only options is a double stroller.
Here are your choices:
(A) Front-to-Back: Graco Duoglider ($150) and Evenflo Twin
Stroller ($160)
This setting on a stroller are very bulky and heavy, The
best one is Evenflo because is one of the lightest
between the two. The Graco infant seat that they currently
own will fit both strollers.
(B) Side-to-Side: Peg Perego Twin Aria($260) and Combi
Twin Savvy Stroller ($200). This setting are the best
choice for your friend but the I recommend is the Combi
because is the lightest one in the market with only 18lbs
by the way the front-to-back weight 28-35lbs also the
infant carrier will fit on Combi but it won't on Peg Perego.

I also use the Graco infant seat, so I bought the Graco double stroller. The LX version is the best for your buck. You can get it a lot cheaper online at I think it was Albee baby. It was $30 cheaper online and free shipping. I think the sit & stand will be too advanced for a 2 year old, especially since a lot of times kids can revert back to younger behavior when a baby enters the scene.

I dont get the sit and stands, having mine a year apart, if the older ones going to stand, he might as well walk. Usually wants to anyway. Even when we're in a hustle.

Youre probably going to spend over $100 for a graco double. My problem with them is they're soo heavy. With two (when older) I never went to the mall anyway, only use my double stroller for jogging, and then got a double jogger.. With the park, the regular double, not side by side jogger, the small wheels compared to the big ones on the jogger was super hard to push over grass.

What I loved when I had one little one, for the mall, whereever, was putting one in a bjorn, or any carrier, then the other in a regular stroller.

It depends on your friends lifestyle. More info would help.

My kids are very close together, too. When they were little, I got the double stroller with one seat in front of the other. Just folds up slightly larger than a single. Graco and Evenflo are fine. check this one out.

because you mentioned your son is almost to the area of not desirous to be in a stroller and you would be able to desire to get it on a bus a take a seat and stand stroller ought to be best for you. you may connect the toddler seat to the take a seat and stand stroller you basically could desire to verify that's compatable. call graco or google to make certain which strollers experience your vehicle seat. whilst i became looking i observed that they have umbrellas they're referred to as (Parasols) that attatch to the stroller basically incase you get cought in the rain. in case you do choose a style of, i could get an excellent one. you would be waiting to apply it for a protracted time and could be much less complicated because you do walk alot. the recent toddler can use it for the full time he or she makes use of a stroller. i offered cheepo strollers for my little ones and that i remorseful approximately it. I went by approximately 4 if i basically offered a maclaren and spent the greenbacks it could have been cheeper in the long-term. i became given one as a hand me down and it truly is the best and longest lasting stroller we've had, that's 9 years previous.

JOOVY makes a sit and stand with a little bench in the back so the older kid can sit too if necessary, facing backwards.
