I never really 'wanted' one myself, but my Aunt June and Uncle BIll used to have one. I don't know where they got him, but he wasn't one of those cute little organ-grinder monkeys you see, he was pretty big, about the size of an 8 yo child. They kept him in their basement and they were the only two who could handle him, he was mean to everyone else. HIs name was "Jeff". He passed away from old age, as they have now, too.

yea, i used to think it would be cool to have a spider monkey... but then i realized they are much better off in the wild... keeping a monkey would be selfish... it deserves to be in nature with it's own kind...

I agree wild animals belong in the wild. to many situations can we see previous tigers, lions, in small cages at some previous sanctuary through fact it have been given to be just to lots for the animal. wild animals ought to be left the place they're.
