They are both great, equally. But if I had to make a choice it would be Flea. He has a variety of styles based on the albums he's played bass on.

They are both awesome, but I would have to say that Flea is more versatile. Just listen to the huge variety of styles that the RHCP songs cover, and notice how tasty the bass lines are in ALL of them.

Out of those 2, I'd say Les.


But, the best bassist in my mind is Justin Chancellor.

I don't know either of those people. I think the best bass players ever are Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue and Bobby Dall of Poison.
