V-necks create length. Solids w/ trim or solid colors are better than patterns. Choose styles that help define your waist.

I have the same problem..lol.. just find a suit that flatters you I like the tankini, because if you can pull of a tank top and a pair of shorts you can pull of a tankini and maybe a cute cover up and some really cute flip flops or sandals or something and lots of confidence... that always helps... either way... being comfortable and confident with the way you look always looks good.... :)

I completely understand where you're coming from. I'm tall, but a size 12/14 so I have to work a little harder to find things that flatter my shape. Find a one-piece that has a cute pattern on it. Patterns hide unwanted curves better than a solid color. Plus it's trendy, fresh, and young looking!
Here's an example: http://a248.e.akamai.net/f/248/6129/1d/s7diod-isorigin.scene7.com/is/image/unitedretailgroup/3599302A_101?$product$
Good luck sweetie! I'm sure you'll look absolutely fabulous!

i like target's selection of suits this year and tankinis are always fun.
i don't have any secrets other than just grab a TON and try them ALL on and seee what you like best.
i have found that some suits look great on you and so so on the hanger. so, even if you don't think you'll like it, still try it on!
also, to shed a few pounds here are some tips that i do everyday to cut some extra calories!
-drink only water. if you are dying for something else and getting that "caffeine headache" then sip some green tea. i like arizona's green tea, but i don't drink it too often.
-stop using condiments. mayo, mustard, ketchup, salad dressing...all pack on calories..lots of calories. mustard isn't too bad i don't think...
anyway...instead of salad dressing squeeze lemon juice on it. eat your burger or fries plain...or not at all since they aren't super good foods anyway!
-add a few extra steps into you day. maybe go for a short walk around the block before work, or a longer one after work. instead of the elevator, take the stairs!
-if you must snack (who doesn't :) snack on cheez-its instead of potato chips. don't sit down with the box. just pour a reasonable amount into a bowl and only eat that. if you're still hungry, then fix a better snack for yourself, like some hard boiled eggs or a sandwich
-swtich to skim milk
there are lots of ways to help get rid of those extra pounds!
also, i "suck it in" 24/7. it isometrically works my abs and keeps them toned. also, it helps my posture and when we stand up straight our whole body get elongated and looks thinner.
take care:)

They are making really cute tankinies now that you could even wear when your not headed for the pool, I'd try that. If your one of those people who's uncomfortable showing your legs you could always get a cute pair of shorts that suit your body type. I'd suggest that you get like a black or dark blue color, like tight stretchy running shorts.

You want to down play the bad and show of the good. If you are heavy I am guessing you have a large chest but also chunky hips. Get a suit that shows off your chest but has a skirt like bottom this will draw attention where you want it.

Try tankinis if you just have more of a belly pooch or one piece... they have so many varieties out there and both options keep you covered but still have a fresh look.

Roamans has alot of choices. I would go with something with a little design or even wear a cover-up over it. Most of all enjoy yourself =)

Look for labels
some suits say
slimmer tummy
longer torso
etc. Good luck
I hate shopping for
swim wear, but do it
every year because I love
